Individual Counselling
Libra has counselling team consisting of experienced counsellors and currently 4 student
counsellors. All counsellors are trained or training in the Person Centred approach. Libra counsellors work in a non judgemental
way - we work with each person and what she brings which may or may not focus on her use of alcohol. We find that our approach
suits those women who wish to look at the underlying issues to their drinking which could be unresolved relationship difficulties;
low self esteem; childhood abuse; sexual, physical or emotional abuse; bullying at work for example.
As our counselling tends to be long term we may have to ask you to wait sometime for an appointment
depending on your availability. We will let you know approximately how long our waiting list is when you call us. Once you
are given an appointment with a Libra counsellor you will usually meet up with your counsellor each week for an hour at Libra's
premises.
LIBRA counsellors are trained to Diploma level or working towards a Diploma in Counselling.
